The Neck & Face Course leads to certification. This is an intensive class involving extensive hands-on-work. Use these movements in routines effective in treating the face and neck. A thorough review of MLD theory and new information will be presented. Be prepared to practice and study after hours. Current theory and research are provided to broaden understanding of the lymph vessel system and MLD. Additional face techniques are demonstrated for treatment of such conditions as acne, rosacea, pre- and post-cosmetic surgery, and congestion. A short final exam is given. Those who complete the course earn certification as a Manual Lymph Drainage Neck & Face Esthetician or Therapist. (For A Detailed Course Syllabus Click Here.) This is a Gay Lee Gulbrandson, CLT-LANA course. (Practical 30 hrs., Theory 10 hrs.) Manual Lymph Drainage is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique that has a powerful effect on the body. Research in Australia, Europe and North America has proven its efficacy as a stand-alone treatment and in combination with other therapies. This technique was developed in France in 1932 by Emil and Estrid Vodder. The Wholistic MLD Neck & Face Course is an intensive class involving extensive hands-on work. You learn the basic movement of MLD and the application to the neck and face is taught over 3 days. You will use these movements in routines effective in cleansing and rejuvenating the dermis. Be prepared to practice and study. A thorough introduction to MLD theory is presented, that covers anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system, connective tissue, effects of MLD and contraindications. You will use the movements in routines effective in treating the face and neck.Those who continue on to the Full Body 5-day and the Fundamentals or Protocols & Assessment Full Body 3-day courses (the 3rd and 4th Esthetician courses) certify as a Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage (full body) Esthetician. The Protocols & Assessment Course is an intensive class involving extensive hands-on work. The practical sessions of this course include special techniques for the joints, the head (including intra-oral) and abdomen. They introduce the student to therapeutic applications. You will use these movements and the next level of movements in routines effective in treating all parts of the body. A thorough review and update of MLD theory will be presented. A review of all techniques / movements of MLD and sequences is given. In the theory sessions, advanced theory and current research is discussed as well as a review of theory. An oral or written and a practical exam are given to test the student's competence in techniques and theory. Be prepared to practice and study. Those who complete the Protocols & Assessment are qualified to attend the Mentor program with Gay Lee Gulbrandson, CLT-LANA. (For Detailed Course Syllabus Click Here.) The Fundamentals Body Course is an intensive class involving extensive hands-on work. You learn the basic movements of MLD. The basic strokes and their application to each of 9 body parts is taught over 5 days. You will use these movements in routines effective in treating all parts of the body. Be prepared to practice and study. A thorough introduction to MLD theory will be presented covering anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system, connective tissue, effects of MLD and contraindications. Edemas are described.
